Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to announce that Amaya Rogers,
R.N. was recently named the Camden Campus Star of the Quarter. Each quarter,
Health System team members nominate their peers for above and beyond performance
that exceeds the Health System’s standards of service excellence.
Ms. Rogers, a registered nurse in the Emergency Care Center-Camden, has
been employed with the Health System since 2006.
Recently, a family with three small children was involved in an automobile
accident that significantly damaged their vehicle and destroyed the children’s
car seats. Under Rogers’ leadership, and with assistance from Michael
Fletcher, M.D., the Emergency Care Center team purchased car seats and
clothes for the family. Her compassionate response to the family’s
needs are typical of Rogers’ every day behavior.
“Amaya is always friendly and compassionate to our patients and
her fellow team members,” says Howard W. Sepp Jr., FACHE, vice president/administrator,
Camden Campus. “She takes the initiative to identify how she can
make things better and then she does it.”
Lisa Dickerson, MBA, BSN, assistant administrator, adds, “We are
very proud to have Amaya on our team and pleased to recognize her as our
Star of the Quarter.”
A graduate of FernandinaBeachHigh School, Ms. Rogers earned her Associate’s
degree in Nursing from Coastal College of Georgia in 2007. When not working,
she enjoys going to the beach and fishing with her two sons, Bradley and Brody.
