Local readers of Charles Martin will have an opportunity to meet the popular
author during a book-signing event at Southeast Georgia Health System
in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center on Thursday, January 31, at 5:30 p.m.
Glynn County residents may have a special appreciation for Martin’s
fifth novel, “Chasing Fireflies,” and one of its main characters,
Chase Walker, a reporter for the Brunswick Daily in Glynn County, Ga.,
as well as references to the Brunswick Hospital.
During the event, Martin will speak about his writing career and novels.
The free event is open to the public and books will be available for purchase
and signing following the presentation.
Charles Martin earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Florida
State University and went on to receive a master’s degree in Journalism
and a doctorate’s degree in Communication from Regent University.
He currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the author of eight
books: Thunder and Rain (2012), The Mountain Between Us (2010), Where
the River Ends (2008), Chasing Fireflies: A Novel of Discovery (2007),
Maggie (2006), When Crickets Cry (2006), Wrapped in Rain (2005), and The
Dead Don't Dance (2004).
