Cheryl Outler Named Brunswick Campus Star of the Quarter
Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to announce that Cheryl Outler
was recently named the Brunswick Campus Star of the Quarter. Each quarter,
Health System team members nominate their peers for above and beyond performance
that exceeds the Health System’s standards of service excellence.
Outler, an environmental services tech at the Senior Care Center-Brunswick,
has been employed with the Health System for two years. A true example
of an exceptional team member, she consistently exceeds expectations and
is very appreciated by her fellow team members and the residents at the
Center for her compassionate, friendly attitude and dependability.
“While Cheryl’s primary job is housekeeping, she goes out
of her way to assist anyone, anywhere, anytime that she is needed,”
says Patrick D. Ebri, Ph.D., vice president, Human Resources. “Whether
it is helping residents confined in wheelchairs get to where they want
to go, assisting visitors, or helping staff, Cheryl is immediately there
to help without being asked and with a smile on her face. She goes the
extra mile to make the residents and visitors feel as though they are
welcomed guests in her own home.”
Gary R. Colberg, FACHE, president and CEO, adds, “It’s always
a pleasure to recognize team members for their commitment to providing
exceptional care to our patients. We are very appreciative to have Cheryl
on our team and pleased to recognize her as our Star of the Quarter.”
A resident of Brunswick, Outler has two adult children. She attended Brunswick
High School and, when not working, enjoys playing ball.
