BRUNSWICK, Georgia: April 10, 2012 – The Glynn-Brunswick Memorial
Hospital Authority is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Michael
D. Hodges and M.H. “Woody” Woodside as well as election of
new officers. Former vice chair Carl Alexander was elected chair, Carla
L. Yarbrough, vice chair, and Michael D. Hodges, former chair, was elected
as the new treasurer and M. H. “Woody” Woodside was re-elected
as secretary.
The Authority is made up of nine members—the City Commission nominates
four, the County Commission nominates four =and one is a city/county nominee.
Authority members are then appointed by the sitting members. Each of these
members volunteers his or her time to oversee the not-for-profit Health System.
In addition to Alexander, Yarbrough, Hodges and Woodside, the Authority
includes Mark Bedner, Vance Hughes, Mitchell T. Jones, M.D., Laura McKinley
and Walter C. McNeely.
