ST. MARYS, Georgia –The Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus
Laboratory was recently awarded a two-year accreditation by The College
of American Pathologists’ Laboratory Accreditation Program (CAP).
The College of American Pathologists is the world’s largest association
composed exclusively of pathologists and is widely considered the leader
in laboratory quality assurance. The CAP is an advocate for high quality
and cost-effective medical care.

for medical laboratory services and goes well beyond meeting basic regulatory
standards and provides a solid foundation for quality practices and helps
laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively

The Camden Campus Laboratory performs approximately 200,000 laboratory
tests per year. This testing supports the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring
of disease. The staff of certified medical technicians and medical technologists
performs analyses in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, coagulation,
