ST. MARYS, Georgia – October is National Physical Therapy Month and
highlights the goal of physical therapists and physical therapy assistants—to
restore and improve motion in order to stay healthy, fit and active throughout
life. In recognition of the month, Southeast Georgia Health System is
offering a free, two-part brown bag lunch and learn series about the benefits
of physical therapy. The first session is “Arthritis and Exercise”
on Friday, Oct. 21, and the second session is “Women’s Health”
scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 27. Both sessions will take place from noon
until 1 p.m. in the Cafeteria Conference Room at the Health System’s
Camden Campus, 2000 Dan Proctor Drive, St. Marys, and attendees are invited
to bring their lunches.
