BRUNSWICK, Georgia – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to
announce that team member Claudia Marble, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
technologist, Radiology, Brunswick Campus, has been named the latest Health
System Brunswick Campus Star of the Quarter. Each quarter, Health System
team members may nominate a fellow team member that he or she feels goes
above and beyond expectations in meeting the Health System’s Service
Excellence standards.
“Claudia has been a long-time dedicated, caring team member,”
says Karen Beaver, CRA, MBA, director, Radiology, Brunswick Campus. “She
treats both patients and her fellow team members with dignity, respect
and compassion. She was selected for this honor for not only demonstrating
these qualities on an on-going basis, but she recently worked several
additional hours and donated some of her own paid time off hours to a
fellow team member who was out on medical leave. Claudia is truly an example
of our Service Excellence policy in action. We are all so happy she was
selected for this much-deserved award.”
Marble is a native of Brunswick and the daughter of Jewell Corbin and the
late Fred Corbin and has one son. She attended what was then Brunswick
Junior College in the hospital-based radiology program and joined the
Health System in 1975 as an X-ray technologist. Marble moved to the Computed
Tomography (CT) Department in 1981 and worked their for 20 years before
cross-training in and transferring to the MRI Department. She is active
in her church and belongs to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT), American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Section
for Magnetic Resonance Technologists (SMRT) of the International Society
