ST. MARYS, Georgia: May 2, 2011– Southeast Georgia Health System
is pleased to announce that long-time team member Lisa Dickerson, BSN,
MBA, has been promoted to the assistant administrator of patient care
services position at the Camden Campus in St. Marys.
Dickerson joined the Health System in 2000. She is a graduate of Glynn
Academy High School and received an Associates degree in nursing from
what was then Coastal Georgia Community College, followed by her Bachelor’s
of science in nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University and an
MBA in healthcare management from Brenau University.
Dickerson is a certified medical/surgical nurse and has been the nurse
manager on 5 Medical for the past three years on the Brunswick Campus.
Additionally, she has served as a team coordinator on 4 North and 5 Medical
on the Brunswick Campus. Dickerson also has experience as a clinical instructional
assistant at the College of Coastal Georgia.
Dickerson is active in the community where she is involved with the Coastal
Medical Access Project (CMAP), the Salvation Army, March of Dimes and
the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. She is a member of
the American Nurses Association, Academy of Medical/Surgical Nurses and
Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Dickerson was named the Health System’s Nurse of the Year in 2004
and received the Florence Nightingale Award from the Georgia Nurses Association
in 2002, 2003 and 2005. “We are very fortunate to have someone of
Lisa’s caliber as our new assistant administrator,” says Howard
W. Sepp Jr., FACHE, vice president and administrator, Camden Campus. “We
all look forward to working closely with her as she takes on this challenging
and rewarding position within our Health System.”
Dickerson was born in Adak, Alaska, where her father was in the Navy and
relocated to the Naval Base in Brunswick when just five years old where
she has remained. She and her husband Kenny have two daughters, Lacey
and Lorrie.
