ST, MARYS, Georgia: June 10, 2011– Southeast Georgia Health System’s
WOW (Wellness on Wheels) mobile health vehicle provides low-cost and free
health screenings, first aid and preventative education to the community
at health departments, industries and businesses, health fairs, community
events and the YWCA.. Services available on the WOW include screening
mammograms, bone density, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, lab draws,
vaccinations, hearing screens, health education and so much more.
The WOW Mobile Health Unit will be providing services at the following
locations during the month of July.
Monday, July 4, 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
St. Marys 4th of July Festival – St. Marys Waterfront
Free first aid, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings
Saturday, July 16, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
St. Marys First African Baptist Church, Ashley Street, St. Marys
Free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings and heel ultrasound bone
density testing.
Friday, July 22, 2011, Noon-6 p.m.
Ralph Bunch Alumni Association Reunion – Ralph Bunch Complex, Camden
County Health Department, 15th & Georgia Ave., Woodbine
Free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, men’s health information,
women’s health information.
Monday, July 25, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Folkston Park Care and Rehabilitation Center 36261 Okefenokee Dr., Fokston
Mammograms.
