BRUNSWICK, Georgia: July 19, 2011– Jerry Harper, treasurer of the
Glynn County Heart Association, pictured at center, hands a check for
$22,000 to James A. Bishop, chairman of the Southeast Georgia Health System
Foundation, to benefit the Health System's cardiac services. The presentation
was made prior to the Foundation board meeting held recently at the Health
System’s Brunswick campus. Half of the funds were raised by the
Brunswick Junior Woman's Club's 4th Annual Red Dress Ball and
were matched by the Glynn County Heart Association. Also shown during
the check presentation is DelRia Baisden, vice president, Southeast Georgia
Health System. The Health System’s cardiac services feature Cardiac
Rehabilitation, a three-phase rehabilitation program that is individualized
to meet the specific needs and abilities of each participant. The program’s
goals are to enable cardiac patients to return to a normal lifestyle and
reduce the likelihood of a recurrent cardiac illness.
