BRUNSWICK, Georgia: March 17, 2011–Robert “Bob” Hayes
of Brunswick was named Volunteer of the Quarter at the Southeast Georgia
Health System Brunswick Auxiliary’s quarterly luncheon on Thursday,
March 3, in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center on the Brunswick Campus.
Hayes joined the Auxiliary in 2007 following his retirement from the banking
industry. He volunteers at the Outpatient Care Center guest services desk
twice a week and helps with special projects, including the Annual Southeast
Georgia Health System Bridge Run. Hayes, an active member of First United
Methodist Church in Brunswick, also volunteers at MAP International.
"Bob was the first volunteer I encountered on my initial visit to
the Brunswick Campus in 2008," says Kristin Doll, Health System Director
of Volunteer Services. "He exceeded my expectations by taking the
time to walk with me to the department I was seeking and impressed me
with his courteous and professional demeanor. We are fortunate to have
Bob and other volunteers like him to help provide this level of service
to our patients and guests."
Volunteers, from teenagers to seniors, work through-out the Health System
at both the Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care
Centers in Brunswick and St. Marys. To find out more about volunteering,
