Health System Offering Free Gait Analysis During October

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Oct. 7, 2010–October is National Physical Therapy Month and Southeast Georgia Health System is marking the occasion by offering free gait analysis throughout the month. If you have trouble walking, a gait analysis using the Multisport Video Analysis Program (MVP) can help identify what is causing you discomfort and pain. The screenings only take about 15 minutes and a clinician will determine whether physical therapy could help. If so, you will get a summary sheet and a CD of your analysis to discuss with your doctor. Although the screenings are free, they are only available by appointment and space is limited. The screenings are offered at two convenient locations: the Outpatient Rehabilitation Care Center, 2600 Wildwood Drive, Brunswick, and the Outpatient Rehabilitation Care Center, 2000 Dan Proctor Drive, St. Marys.
