BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Nov. 11, 2010–Patients at Southeast Georgia Health
System’s Brunswick Campus now have their meals delivered in more
attractive food trays that also keep the food hot longer.
According to Director of Food & Nutrition Services Arthur Tibbetts,
the new Heat On Demand® Ultra-T patient food tray delivery system
keeps the meals 33 1/3 percent longer and uses 70 percent less electricity
than other heating systems. “Each individual base, which holds the
patient’s plate, is heated in 12 seconds and keeps the food hot
up to one hour and can be safely handled without gloves,” Tibbetts
says. “This is just another way we’ve found to further improve
our services for patients and their families while they are with us.”
