BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Nov. 16, 2010 – Health System Foundation Chair
Jim Bishop welcomes attendees at the Philanthropy Day Luncheon held Nov.
4 in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Room on the Southeast Georgia Health
System Brunswick Campus. National Philanthropy Day is the special day
set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that
philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have
made to our lives, our communities and our world. The Foundation celebrates
this day each year by honoring all the generous donors who provide support
to the Health System.
Those in attendance enjoyed lunch and heard presentations on the renovation
of patient rooms and the CyberKnife® vault by Vice President Marjorie
Mathieu, R.Ph., FACHE, and Assistant Vice President Michelle Morris. J.
Melvin Deese, M.D., medical director, Orthopaedic & Spine Center,
and Pam Gass, R.N., A.T.C., director, Orthopaedic & Spine Center,
made a presentation on the Center, and President & CEO Gary R. Colberg,
FACHE, spoke on the Health System’s vision of the future.
