Carter practices at Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery, a
strategic affiliate of Southeast Georgia Health System. He is a graduate
of Mississippi State University and The Medical College of Georgia School
of Medicine. Carter completed his orthopaedic residency at the Louisiana
State University Health Sciences Center. During his residency, he served
as assistant team physician for McNeese State University, giving him the
opportunity to work with David Drez, M.D., a leading authority on sports
medicine, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La. Carter
is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has
a special interest in total joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic
surgery. Following his lecture, Carter will answer questions from the
