BRUNSWICK, Georgia: March 31, 2010–Joyce Toler of Brunswick was named
Volunteer of the Quarter at the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick
Auxiliary’s quarterly luncheon on Thursday, March 4, in the Linda
S. Pinson Conference Center on the Brunswick Campus.
Toler joined the Auxiliary in 2004 following her retirement from the Federal
Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) where she was the assistant chief
of the Information Systems Division, head of Computer Security, and head
of the Small Systems Division. She volunteers in the Brunswick Campus
Gift Shop and recently began serving in the Volunteer Services Office.
Additionally, Toler assists with volunteer recruitment and the volunteer
orientation process.
“We are very fortunate to be a recipient of Joyce’s volunteer
service,” says Kristin Doll, director of Volunteer Services at the
Health System. “She is always willing to help where there is a need
and she has been instrumental in the further development of our volunteer
program.”
In addition to volunteering at the Health System, Toler leads a group of
65 knitters at First Baptist Church in Brunswick in making prayer shawls,
baby blankets, and hats for the Seafarers Center. She is married to Auxiliary
President Darryl Toler and they have three children and five grandchildren.
Volunteers, from teenagers to seniors, work thoughout the Health System
at both the Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care
