BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Sept. 1, 2009 – Southeast Georgia Health System
is pleased to announce that Vivian Duncan, RN, has been promoted to the
position of director of nursing for the Senior Care Center—St. Marys.
Duncan is a native of Hardeeville, SC, and graduated from the Technical
College of the Low Country in Beaufort, SC. She has been a registered
nurse for 12 years and has worked at the Senior Care Center for the last
four years. In 2008, her colleagues selected her as the Senior Care Center
RN of the Year. Duncan started her nursing career in long-term care. “Caring
for individuals in this type setting is where I find the greatest joy,”
Duncan says. “We have a good team here. I am honored to receive
this promotion and look forward to working with Ms. (Rhondia) Grant in
reaching new heights, and building an even stronger team.”
Rhondia Grant, long-term care administrator for the Senior Care Center,
says Duncan is the perfect fit for the nursing director position. “Vivian
is very caring and dedicated to the wellbeing of our residents,”
Grant says. “She is a consummate healthcare professional and I look
forward to working with her in her new role.”
Duncan is married to Gunnery Sgt. Willie Duncan Jr., who has served 17
years in the U.S. Marine Corps and is currently stationed at Camp LeJeune,
NC. They have two children, Ryan and Cameron.
