BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Nov. 6, 2009 – Are you ready to hop on a Hog
and kiss a pig for diabetes education, research, and treatment? If so,
you will want to grab your motorcycle and ride in the 2009 Southeast Georgia
Health System PORKer run on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to
benefit the American Diabetes Association and the Health System’s
Diabetes Programs. Registration begins that morning at 8:30 a.m. and will
be held at both the Outpatient Care Center parking lot on the Brunswick
Campus, 2500 Starling Street, and the Camden Campus parking lot, 2000
Dan Proctor Drive, St. Marys. Riders will make five stops to collect poker
cards–McIntosh Family Medicine Center, 1022 Miller Lane SW, Darien;
Brantley Family Medicine Center, 21300 Hwy. 82, Waynesville; St. Simons
Island Fitness Trail, 5000 Wellness Way, St. Simons Island; the Camden
Campus; and Spanky's Marshside, 1200 Glynn Avenue (US Hwy 17), Brunswick
. The cost is $20 per bike with $5 for additional riders or poker hands.
