BRUNSWICK, Georgia: June 1, 2009 – Southeast Georgia Health System
is pleased to announce the most recent management team members’
promotions at the Camden Campus.
Shannon Wainright, RN, BSN, is now the assistant administrator of Patient
Care Services, and Kristi Eash, RN, BSN, MBA, is now manager of Surgical
Services/Outpatient.
Wainright has been with the Health System since 1992 when she worked as
a nursing assistant in Pediatrics at the Brunswick Campus. In 1994, she
completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Valdosta State University,
while continuing to work full time in Pediatrics. Wainright transferred
to the Maternity Care Center at the Camden Campus in 1997 and was promoted
to manager of the Maternity care Center in 2002.
During her years in the management role, Wainright established childbirth
classes, organized March of Dimes campaigns, assisted in the organization
and completion of a renovation project in the existing Maternity Care
Center, and later assisted with the planning and construction of a new
Maternity Care Center that opened in late March 2009. She is a member
of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American
College of Healthcare Executives. Wainright lives in Kingsland and she
and her husband Marc have two sons, Trent and Aaron.
Eash first joined the Health System in 2005 as an operating room educator
at the Brunswick Campus, then became an instructor in the Health System’s
Human Resources Department. Prior to joining the Health System, she worked
as a critical care staff nurse at Saint Joseph Medical Center in South
Bend, Indiana, then as a transplant surgery nurse, and an ortho-spine
surgery nurse at the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago from 200-2004.
Eash joined Mount Sinai Health System in Chicago in 2003 as a clinical
coordinator of ortho-neuro surgery and operating room education.
Eash graduated in 1998 with an Associate’s degree in nursing from
Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, before going on to graduate in 2001
with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University at Calumet
in Hammond, Indiana. In 2009, she completed her MBA through the Healthcare
Management program, a collaboration between the Health System and Brenau
University.
She is a member of the American Nurses Association and Association of Perioperative
Registered Nurses. Eash holds the American Heart Association’s Advanced
Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support Instructor certifications.
She lives in Brunswick and she and her husband Thomas have two sons, Justin
and Christopher.
