The Brantley Chamber of Commerce named the Brantley Family Medicine Center
the Business of the Year at their meeting Thursday night, Aug. 28, at
the Strickland Lodge. The announcement was made by Tim Sawyer, President
of the Brantley Chamber, at the event hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Wade Strickland.
“We are honored to accept this award. I am proud to be part of this
team providing health care to the citizens of Brantley County,”
said Janise Whitesell, MD, Brantley Family Medicine Center physician.
“This is a group effort and all of us enjoy taking care of you and
your family members.”
Accepting the award along with Whitesell were Iris White, family nurse
practitioner, Cassie Bernard, practice manager, Heidi Shedd, department
support coordinator, Bonnie Howard, LPN, Robyne Harris, radiologic technologist,
and Shannon Cox, medical office assistant.
Brantley Family Medicine Center is operated by Cooperative Healthcare Services,
Inc. (CHSI), a strategic affiliate of Southeast Georgia Health System.
The Center provides comprehensive health care, including preventive medicine
and treatment for existing problems. Laboratory and X-ray services are
