Biography

Board-certified radiation oncologist Bruce G. Tripp, M.D., received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he also completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in radiation oncology.

Extremely dedicated to the Southeast Georgia Health System cancer care programs, Dr. Tripp has served as the medical director of Radiation Oncology, chair of the Cancer Committee and chief of the Department of Radiology on the Brunswick Campus. He is also the co-founder of the Health System’s multidisciplinary Tumor Board and Tumor Registry. Dr. Tripp’s primary areas of interest are breast, gynecological and thyroid cancers. He is experienced in the use of hypofractionated radiation therapy, a technique that drastically reduces the treatment time for breast cancer patients who have undergone a lumpectomy.
