Reviews

He did not meet me needs. It was a waste of my time. There was nothing really accommodated, and we did not see eye to eye on my medical problem.
This provider and his staff were very unprofessional and had no compassion for what I was going through. I would never recommend he or his practice to anyone.
Dr. Owen was very good! Answered all my questions and did not rush in/out! I appreciated the time I had with him!
Excellent Dr.Owens explained what he saw in the MRI and explained our next steps.
Dr. Owens is great, I would (if needed) have any an all surg. with him.
First visit he told me to go get MRI. Second visit referred me to a spine center.
Dr. Owens was very informative and explained the procedure thoroughly
It was very helpful

Dr Owens was a very caring doctor and he answered all my questions or I could understand them I would recommend them highly to anyone God put special angels on Earth to do a job and I feel like he is one of those and I do not trust doctors very easily but for the first visit I gave him my trust
I waited one hour and 30 minutes to see this provider. It was not worth the 50 mile drive there.
Dr Owens and his nurse seem very thorough and knowledgeable. I look forward to working with them.

Biography

Timothy R. Owens, MD, board-certified neurosurgeon, sees patients at Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Neurosurgery in Brunswick, Georgia. As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Owens treats disorders of the brain and spine, including tumors, bleeds, trauma, degenerative spine disease, and spinal cord compression.

According to Dr. Owens, his approach to patient care is simple. “When I have a patient before me, I try to picture the advice I would give to my own family member and that is how I treat each of my patients,” he says.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, Dr. Owens earned his master’s degree in biomedical science at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Then he received his doctorate at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Following that, he completed a neurosurgery residency at Duke University Medical Center as well as a fellowship in adult reconstructive spinal surgery.

Prior to joining the Health System, Dr. Owens worked for St. Vincent Spine and Brain Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. He has served on several committees throughout his career and has extensively researched and written several medical journal articles, abstracts and a book chapter. In his free time, Dr. Owens enjoys spending time with his family and watching college football.
