Bradley William Newton, M.D., is an obstetrician and gynecologist at
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Obstetrics & Gynecology in St. Marys, Georgia. His services include annual well-woman visits,
cancer screening, family planning and birth control management, contraceptive
implants and IUDs, infertility treatment, prenatal care, labor and delivery
services, treatment of pelvic pain and urinary disorders, and management
of menopausal symptoms. He also performs pelvic and urinary tract surgery
and is trained in minimally-invasive surgical techniques.
Additionally, he offers hysteroscopic treatment for abnormal bleeding,
uterine fibroids and infertility, as well as laparoscopic sterilization
procedures and surgical management of endometriosis. Newton received certification
in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and performs abdominal, laparoscopic
and vaginal hysterectomies.
Dr. Newton’s love of service led him to pursue a career in health
care. He graduated with honors from the University of Georgia and earned
his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah,
Georgia. His residency training took place in Philadelphia, where he graduated
from Temple University Hospital/Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Dr. Newton
decided to pursue obstetrics and gynecology to help women at all ages
and stages of life. He finds caring for women as they plan a pregnancy
and welcome new life to be especially rewarding.
Every patient who comes to Dr. Newton is encouraged to actively participate
in her care. He builds trust by taking the time to listen to patient concerns
and keeping them at the center of their health care decisions. By staying
current with new and evolving evidence-based guidelines and treatments,
Dr. Newton provides patients with a wide spectrum of health care solutions
and options.
Working at a small community hospital like Southeast Georgia Health System’s
Camden Campus allows Dr. Newton to deliver quality medical and surgical
care close to where his patients live. He believes that the community
hospital setting gives patients and doctors the opportunity to get to
know one another on a deeper level. This leads to a strong doctor-patient
relationship which allows patients to make health care decisions based
on their personal values and goals.
Dr. Newton settled in St. Marys with his wife,
Danielle N. Mankin, M.D., a family medicine doctor at
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care, and their son. When Dr. Newton isn’t focused on his patients, he
can be found boating, kayaking, camping, fishing, playing tennis or jogging
with his dog, Maddie. Having received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Georgia, few things can distract him from a UGA football
game—unless he is delivering a baby.
