Board-certified medical oncologist Duane P. Moores, M.D., received his
medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, and completed
his residency in internal medicine as well as a two-year fellowship in
hematology/oncology at the Medical University of
South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Moores has served as the primary investigator
in several research and clinical trials specific to breast cancer.
Dr. Moores believes in educating and encouraging his patients to take
an active role in their care. During his tenure at Southeast Georgia Health
System, he has served as the chair of the Cancer Committee, the physician
liaison to the American College of Surgeons and was a key participant
in the development of the Breast Care Center. Dr. Moores is a member of
the American Society of Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Moores, along with all of our Breast Care Center physicians, is a
dedicated specialist who focuses on addressing patient concerns with sensitivity
and kindness.
