Jason M. Dancy, M.D., board-certified interventional physiatrist at
Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery, sees patients at their Brunswick and St. Simons Island locations. Growing
up in Canada, Dr. Dancy developed a passion for hockey. After a lifetime
of playing and watching the sport, he often witnessed how frequently players
endured injuries and wanted to help. Just like his hockey games, he promotes
a team approach when it comes to practicing medicine.
Dr. Dancy obtained his medical degree from Medical University of The Americas,
completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Case Western
Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center, and his interventional
Spine Medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. While completing his medical
degree, Dr. Dancy received the Dean of Clinical Medicine Award and was
the Chief Fellow of Spine Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Dancy decided to join the Health System after graduating from medical
school due to the practice’s friendly, family-like environment.
His patient-centered, team approach to health care is a perfect fit for
Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery’s close-knit atmosphere.
Over the years, Dr. Dancy developed an affinity for making a difference
in people’s lives; he’s always eager to help his patients
get back on their feet and doing the activities they enjoy.
