Judith Henson, R.N., BSN, MSA
Vice President, Patient Care Services
Judith Henson, R.N., BSN, MSA, has more than 30 years of health care experience
with progressive leadership and administrative roles. Born and raised
in Ohio, Ms. Henson relocated to the Golden Isles in 2016 to join Southeast
Georgia Health System as vice president, Patient Care Services.
Ms. Henson’s areas of responsibility include: medical/surgical patient
care and intensive care units, coronary care and progressive coronary
care units, post-anesthesia care units, inpatient and outpatient surgery
services, telemetry, pediatrics, dialysis, inpatient wound care, diabetes
education, outpatient surgery services, pharmacy services, women and maternity
services, and the Emergency Care Centers.
Prior to joining the Health System, Ms. Henson served as the chief nursing
executive for Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio, encompassing three
hospitals and five regional clinics. Previous to that she was the director
of Clinical Services at Adena Health System’s hospital in Greenfield,
Ohio. Ms. Henson advanced her career at CMH Regional Health System in
Wilmington, Ohio, where she served as the manager for Obstetrics and Women’s
Health & Education, director of Case Management and Community Health,
and then chief nursing officer and vice president of Patient Care Services.
Ms. Henson holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State
University in Columbus, Ohio, and a master’s degree in health care
administration from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Mich.
She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, Healthcare
Advisory Board Nurse Executive Center and The Healthcare Roundtable. Additionally,
Ms. Henson has achieved certification as Lean for Healthcare and Lean
Six Sigma Black Belt. Lean is a nationally recognized methodology for
setting industry standards and best practices for workforce development
and continuous process improvement.
