The Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation Bridge Run has become a
signature event for the Health System and the Golden Isles. Unique among
bridge runs, the races take place on the 7,780-foot Sidney Lanier Bridge
and the Half Marathon extends through Historic Brunswick. At its center,
the bridge measures 480 feet high above the Brunswick River, the tallest
span in the state.
The Bridge Run also includes a fun walk after the race is over, followed
by a family-friendly festival featuring community vendors, food and drink,
entertainment and children's activities. Proceeds benefit the Health
System’s cancer care and cardiac programs.

Out of an abundance of caution, the 2022 Bridge Run is cancelled. We believe
it would be irresponsible to hold the event and risk exposing our incredible
sponsors, vendors and participants to the highly contagious omicron variant,
especially considering our community’s current high transmission
rate. As your community Health System, we strive daily to provide safe,
quality, accessible, and cost-effective care to meet the health needs
of the people and communities we serve.
Please save the date for 2023: February 17 and 18, 2023.
