Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Health System is implementing
the below initiatives to help raise awareness and promote breast health!
Pink Your Pumpkin Contest
Enter the Pink Your Pumpkin contest for a chance to win a gift basket from
Southeast Georgia Health System. Get creative! Decorate, carve, paint
your pumpkin to help us spread Breast Cancer Awareness. Take a photo of
your pink pumpkin masterpiece, and share it on social media with #ProtectYourPumpkins2021
to help encourage people to schedule their mammograms. One lucky winner
will be announced on Friday, Oct. 29! Be sure to like the Health System’s
Facebook and
Instagram pages to see your pink pumpkin competition!
Contest Details
Community “Pink Out Friday”
Friday, Oct. 8: The community is invited to join the Health System in wearing pink on Pink
Out Friday in support of the women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.
We encourage everyone to wear pink on Friday, Oct. 8. Then, share your
“Pink Out Friday” photo on social media using the hash tag
#PinkOut2021. Be sure to like the Health System’s
Facebook and
Instagram pages for more Pink Out Photos! Connecting with our social media page
is a great way to keep up to date on Health System services, news and
happenings.

Pink Friday Games
Area high schools are also participating in the Health System’s Breast
Cancer Awareness festivities with “Pink Friday Games” during
their October football home games. The Health System will provide pink
wristbands for players and pink pom poms for cheerleaders. Attendees are
also encouraged to wear pink to the game.

ARTrageous Bras Fundraiser
Exhibits
Oct. 1-31: The ARTrageous Bras exhibit will be on display at the Brunswick and Camden
campuses. Votes will be collected at the Guest Services desks on the Brunswick
and Camden campuses, the Foundation office and online. You may vote for
as many bras as often as you wish for only $1 per vote.
Online Auction
Thursday-Friday, Nov. 4-5: The ARTrageous Bras online auction will benefit the Health System cancer
care programs! Stay tuned for details.
Make Breast Care a Routine for Life
Patients receiving mammograms during October will receive a breast cancer
awareness gift.
Pretty in Pink
The Health System will be decorated in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
