Coastal Community Health
Established in September 2015,
Coastal Community Health is a cooperative health network consisting of two major, not-for-profit
health systems in the Southeast Georgia and North Florida region: Baptist
Health-Jacksonville and Southeast Georgia Health System. This regional
affiliation benefits the local communities of each health system and hospital
through collaborative initiatives developed to provide enhanced care and
superior quality of service to patients and their loved ones. Some of
these initiatives include, but are not limited to:
- Supply chain
- Information technologies
- Telehealth
- Disaster planning
- Patient education and engagement
- Physician services
Baptist Health
Located in Jacksonville, Fl., Baptist Health serves its community through
a wide-reaching health care network consisting of five hospitals and over
200 specialty physician and primary care practices. Their faith-based,
community focus strives to heal the whole person – mentally and
spiritually as well as physically. They are nationally ranked by U.S.
News & World Report for their pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology
and Gastrointestinal Surgery programs at their Wolfson Children’s
Hospital location.
A Regional Affiliation
Although Baptist Health and Southeast Georgia Health System continue to
operate independently as locally governed health systems, this regional
affiliation strives to serve the broader needs of their coastal communities.
