Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus Earns Prestigious Elite Circle Status

The Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus has been named to the Georgia Hospital Association’s (GHA) Hospital Engagement Network (HEN) prestigious Elite Circle for its accomplishments in the patient safety arena in 2012.
The Camden Campus is one of only 13 Georgia hospitals to be named to the Elite Circle. The Elite Circle is the highest category in the HEN’s recognition program and places Camden Campus in the 90thpercentile or above.
“We are very proud to be one of the state’s highest achievers in the HEN initiatives,” says Howard W. Sepp, Jr., FACHE, vice president/administrator, Camden Campus. “This honor validates our team members’ commitment to achieving high standards and delivering exceptional health care to the communities we serve.”
Southeast GeorgiaHealth System is a participant in the GHA HEN, an initiative begun in 2012 that is part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service’s (CMS) Partnership for Patients. GHA, through its Partnership for Health and Accountability (PHA), is one of 27 organizations nationally to be awarded federal funding to coordinate the implementation of a series of projects with hospitals. The goals of these projects are to reduce hospital-acquired conditions (HAC) by 40 percent and hospital readmissions by 20 percent by the end of 2013.
