Pediatric Rehabilitation Services-Camden Campus

Southeast Georgia Health System Pediatric Rehabilitation Program offers professional rehabilitative services in the areas of occupational, physical and speech therapies. Our experienced staff enjoy working with patients in a child friendly environment.

With the rise of autism in the past decade, our speech therapists have received advanced training in sensory integration techniques and Beckman’s oral motor techniques. These therapy treatments provide each patient with a professional, directed treatment plan that is tailored to his or her individual needs.

Splinting and bracing are also often necessary to maximize a child’s function. Our occupational therapists have an on-site splinting station designed for comfort and convenience. The splinting station is brought to the pediatric area where the necessary fabrications can take place in a familiar area. The occupational therapists also help children with their fine motor skills, such as dressing themselves and performing activities of independent daily living.

The physical therapists in the pediatric rehabilitation area work on large motor skills, such as standing and walking. They work closely with other team members to maximize the function of the individual child. Fitting of wheelchairs and bracing for lower extremities can also be handled with the guidance of a physical therapist.
