At Southeast Georgia Health System our Cardiopulmonary Services focus on the testing, diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of people with lung and heart conditions, including rehabilitation programs designed to help people with these conditions return to a better quality of life.

Cardiology

Cardiology performs a number of cardiac tests on the Brunswick and Camden campuses. Most of these tests are performed Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. However, EKGs are available 24 hours a day. At the Brunswick Campus, emergency echo and stress tests are performed on weekends and after-hours. Holter monitors are used to evaluate your heart rhythm over a period of time. These diagnostic procedures start between 7 a.m.-9 p.m.

Cardiac Catheterization

Diagnoses and treatment of most cardiac diseases take place in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, located on the Brunswick Campus. Services include cardiac stenting, angioplasty, insertion of  place pacemakers and Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators (AICDs). Depending on the procedure and medical history of the patient will determine if treatment is either inpatient or outpatient. Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapy provides a range of services from simple breathing treatments to ventilator support. The service is offered as either inpatient or outpatient depending on the patients needs. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sleep Studies

Our Sleep Management Centers perform sleep studies for those who experience excessive daytime sleepiness and those who have trouble initiating and maintaining sleep.

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs, offered on the Brunswick Campus, are designed to help people who live with heart and lung conditions return to a better quality of life.
