The Southeast Georgia Health System Bariatric Care Center has been designated as a Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). The designation indicates that we provide the highest standards of bariatric care.

Currently we offer laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding surgery, also known as Lap-Band® Surgery. This procedure is the most popular, least invasive type of bariatric surgery and the only one that provides the opportunity for the surgeon to adjust the gastric band after surgery.
