Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew is expected to impact southeast Georgia late Thursday, Oct. 6 through Saturday, Oct. 8. Due to the anticipated weather conditions, and for the safety of our patients and team members, select services and locations will be closed. Tropical Storm Hermine

Tropical Storm Hermine is expected to impact Glynn County late Thursday, Sept. 1 through Friday, Sept. 2. Due to the anticipated weather conditions, select Southeast Georgia Health System services and locations will be closed on Friday, Sept. 2. Learn more.

Zika

The Zika virus is now making headlines due to outbreaks as well as the reported risk to pregnant women which results in babies with birth defects. As per the latest information provided by the CDC, the Zika virus has not been transmitted within the United States. Cases of Zika virus have been reported in returning travelers within the United States.
 

Ebola

The 2014 Ebola epidemic is the largest in history, affecting multiple countries in West Africa. Although the risk of an Ebola outbreak in the United States is very low, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and partners are taking precautions to prevent this from happening.
