Marketing/PR Wins Target Awards
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: June 18, 2008 –Southeast Georgia Health System recently won two Georgia Hospital Association Target Awards. The Georgia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (GSHMPR) announced the awards at the group’s 2008 annual meeting at the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga., May 28-30. The Health System won second place in the media relations category for the MD Anderson Physicians Network® press kit and second place in the physician relations category for new physician ads.
The annual Target Awards, which were first presented in 1970, recognize outstanding marketing and public relations programs within Georgia’s healthcare organizations. These prestigious awards give society members a vehicle to showcase their marketing and public relations accomplishments while recognizing the industry’s top performances. For this year’s competition, GSHMPR received 109 entries from hospitals throughout Georgia. The Carolina Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society judged the entries. The Health System has participated in the awards since 2003 and has won multiple awards each year.
