Lab Outreach Program Launched at Camden Campus

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: June 29, 2008 Outpatients in Camden county needing their blood drawn for laboratory tests now have an even more convenient place to go. The Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus Laboratory has opened an outpatient phlebotomy site in Suite 100 of the Camden Medical Pavilion. The new site, located just inside the main doors of the Pavilion, is intended as a quick, convenient destination for patients needing physician ordered blood work. These patients will no longer need to enter the main hospital and go through the normal admissions process, says Brendon Winstead, laboratory manager.

“This location is much more accessible for patients and reduces wait times,” Winstead says. “It also allows hospital registration staff to concentrate their efforts on admissions and outpatient surgery.”

The new site, located at 2040 Dan Proctor Drive, St. Marys, is adjacent to the main Camden Campus, and open Monday-Fridays from 7 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. For more information about this service, contact Winstead at (912) 576-6440 or bwinstead@sghs.org.
