Hospital Advisory Board Welcomes Jean Marie Brazell as Newest Member
Brazell, a human resources representative, has been employed with Lockheed Martin since 1987. She also has nine years experience as a registered nurse, both in the hospital setting and the home health care field, including serving as head nurse of a pediatric oncology unit.
“With a background in nursing, a career in Human Resources, and an interest in quality medical care in the local community, I desire to make a positive contribution on the Advisory Board,” says Brazell. “I look forward to serving in this capacity and using my experience to benefit our community.”
According to Howard W. Sepp Jr., FACHE, vice president/administrator, Camden Campus, that feeling is mutual. “We are thrilled to have Jean Marie join us and look forward to working with her for a long time to come.”
Brazell earned an associate of science degree in Nursing from Lake City Community College.
She is active in the First Baptist Church Kingsland choir and handbell music programs, and is a past member of Camden County Board of Education. She and her husband, Mike, have lived in Kingsland since 1980, and have three adult children. Together, they enjoy biking, fishing and travel.
The Advisory Board currently consists of 11 members including the Camden Campus chief of staff. Members volunteer their time to assist the Glynn-Brunswick Memorial Hospital Authority in overseeing the Health System’s Camden Campus.
In addition to Brazell, Advisory Board members are Rose D. Andrews, chair; Mark R. Kevan, vice chair; Jeffery “Jeff” B. Barker, Vance Hughes, James “Jim” B. Lomis, Walter C. McNeeley, Steve E. Rawl, Sr., Mary T. Root, Gary D. Willis, and Chief of Staff Thomas C. Whitesell Jr., M.D.
