Healthy Thursdays—What Every Woman Should Know About Thyroid Disease
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Feb.22, 2007 – Southeast Georgia Health System will present “What Every Woman Should Know About Thyroid Disease” as part of the System’s new Healthy Thursdays education series. This free seminar is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, from 7-8 p.m. in Conference Room 1 at Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick Campus, 2415 Parkwood Drive.
The speaker for the event is Shenon Badre, MD, of Southeast Georgia Health System’s recently opened Endocrinology & Diabetes Care Center, located on the sixth floor of the Outpatient Care Center. She is currently the only endocrinologist in Glynn County and diagnoses and treats disorders of the glandular, hormonal, and metabolic systems, especially diabetes, thyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.
Dr. Badre earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University before going on to complete medical school at the Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency and a fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta before joining Southeast Georgia Health System in October 2006. Following her talk, Dr. Badre will answer questions from the audience. Light refreshments will also be served.
