Healthy Thursdays—Free Seminar on Advances in Heart Health

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Jan.25, 2007 – Southeast Georgia Health System will present “Advances in Heart Health” as part of the System’s new Healthy Thursdays education series. This free seminar is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8, from 7-8 p.m. in Conference Room 1 at Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick Campus, 2415 Parkwood Drive.

The speaker for the event is interventional cardiologist Michael Butler, MD. Dr. Butler is the medical director of Cardiology and the Cardiac Cath Lab at the System’s Brunswick Campus. He is also the Health System’s chief clinical investigator for the System’s participation in the Atlantic C-PORT Clinical Trials with Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Butler earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before going on to complete medical school at Wayne State University. He completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta and a fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Butler is board certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, and cardiology. Following his talk, Dr. Butler will answer questions from the audience.
