Community Health & Wellness Fair

The annual Community Health & Wellness Fair is perfect for all ages. Join us to learn about health and wellness services, including skin care, heart care, diabetes, cancer and so much more. Southeast Georgia Health System physicians and specialists, as well as community health-focused organizations, are available to offer helpful information about children and adult health care services. Don't miss out on free and low-cost screenings, free medication reviews with a pharmacist and many more informative and fun-filled activities.

Free Screenings

Some of the free screenings offered at the 2017 Community Health & Wellness Fairs include:
  • Blood pressure
  • Bone density
  • Grip strength analysis
  • Prostate exams (men 40 and over)
  • Pulmonary function
  • Pulse oximetry
  • Skin checks
  • Vascular

Free Medication Review

Bring all your medication bottles (prescription, over-the-counter and vitamins). A Health System pharmacist will discuss your medications with you.
 

Low-Cost Screenings

The low-cost screenings offered at the 2017 Community Health & Wellness Fairs include:
  • Heart Health: $25 includes electrocardiogram (EKG) and lipid profile (12 hour fasting necessary). Appointments recommended; call 1-855-ASK-SGHS (1-855-275-7447) to schedule.
  • Mammograms (screening): Insurance is accepted; financial assistance is available to patients who qualify. Appointment and physician’s orders are required; call 1-855-ASK-SGHS (1-855-275-7447) to schedule.
Additional activities at the 2017 Community Health & Wellness Fairs include a children’s teddy bear clinic, da Vinci robot exhibit, car seat safety check, fire safety house and more!
