Health System Team Members Complete Leadership Training
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: April 8, 2008 – Southeast Georgia Health System team members from left Shawn Crosby, Lynn Kinstle, Teresa Howard, and Jennifer Watkins, along with Angela Wooten, and Marla Allen, not pictured, recently completed the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) Certificate in Healthcare Management and Leadership Program.
GHA developed the program in 2004 to train and equip healthcare professionals to be effective managers and leaders. The conferences that comprise this certificate program are conducted via face-to-face educational programs, GHA TELNET audio conferences, and Internet based programs through www.carelearning.com. The fifth year of this highly successful certificate program will begin in April 2008. Participants will be able to complete the requirements for the program by December 2008.
“The GHA Certificate in Healthcare Management and Leadership program curriculum is designed to meet the training needs of healthcare professionals that are new to management, supervisory, or leadership roles,” says Patrick Ebri, Health System Vice President, Human Resources. “This curriculum will also benefit professionals that are currently in management roles who want to improve their leadership skills or professionals that want to move into management.”
Information concerning the program, the requirements and curriculum can be accessed at GHA's web site at http://www.gha.org/publications/public/other/LeadershipProgram.asp.
