Health System Names New Budget Manager
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: July 11, 2008 – Glynn County native Ginger Wallen has been promoted to the position of budget manager at Southeast Georgia Health System.
Wallen graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Southern University in 1991. Before joining the Health System as a staff accountant in 2003, Wallen worked in the financial and accounting fields at First American Health Care and SeaPack Federal Credit Union, both in Brunswick, as well as Newport Timber in Riceboro, Georgia-Pacific in Brunswick, and Tamary’s Fine Apparel for Women in St. Simons Island.
“Ginger brought a wealth of accounting and payroll experience to our team,” says Lisa Morgan, director of Finance. “Her responsibilities now include the budget process and monthly variance analysis, the payroll functions and some of the accounting functions, and I believe that she will do a fantastic job in her new role.”
Wallen is the daughter of Cynthia Beggs of St. Simons Island and the late Rudolph Beggs, a former long-time county extension agent in Glynn County. She and her husband David have been married 13 years and have two children, Sarah, 11, and Jeffrey, 10.
