Health System Announces Winners of Team Member Art Show
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: May 29, 2008 – Pediatrician Neil Goodman, MD, and Information Systems team member Donna Rainey took top honors at the Southeast Georgia Health System Team Member Art Show held in the Outpatient Care Center Art Gallery, on the Brunswick Campus. President and CEO Gary R. Colberg, FACHE, presented each of the winners with certificates, while the first place winners also received gift certificates to Halyard’s Restaurant.
Goodman took first place in the fine arts category with his surreal painting, “No Guts, No Glory,” while Rainey won first place in the photography category with her photograph of docked shrimp boats, “Brunswick at Sunset.” Finishing second in the fine arts category was Yvonne Taylor, Imaging Services, with her painting, “Clipper Ship,” while Mark Hayes, Facilities, placed third for his pencil drawing, “Thank Heaven.” In the photography category, Janet Douglas, Administration, placed second with her photo, “Pink Flamingo,” while Steve English, Materials Management, placed third with his photograph, “Curious Crab.”
The Outpatient Care Center Art Gallery opened in April 2006 and continually hosts works by premiere Georgia artists. The current exhibit features the photography of St. Marys artist Sam Lindsay and will run through July 7. As with all the gallery exhibits, the show is free and open to the public.
