Health System Announces Promotion and Welcomes New Administrative Resident

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Aug. 11, 2010 – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to announce the promotion of team member Natalie Gregory, R.N., and welcome Kyle C. Emerson. Gregory was promoted to the position of nurse manager of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), while Emerson is the Health System’s new administrative resident.

Gregory joined the Health System in 2004 as a staff nurse and has served in several leadership roles while working in the SICU. She earned her Associate’s degree in nursing from what is now the College of Coastal Georgia. A California native and resident of coastal Georgia since 1990, Gregory and her husband David, a Glynn County Police Department investigator, are the parents of a son Kyle and daughter Lauryn.

For the next 12 months, Emerson will complete four rotations of three months each working with different members of the Health System’s administrative team to gain real world experience in health care administration. This is the eighth year the program has been in place and it provides the resident exposure to meetings and operations at the highest level of management.

Emerson received his undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration with a minor in general business from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and is currently completing a Master’s program at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga., where he was awarded the 2010 Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives Student of the Year. He will graduate with Master’s degrees in healthcare administration and business administration upon completion of his residency at the Health System. Emerson and his wife Michelle have two children, Kate and Logan.
