Health System Announces Black History Month Celebrations

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Feb. 22, 2007 –The team members of Southeast Georgia Health System invite the public to join them in honoring the many African Americans, both past and present, who have inspired us all and contributed to the betterment of our society.

The first celebration is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 5-7 p.m. in the Conference Center of the Brunswick Campus, 2415 Parkwood Drive, Brunswick. This event will feature a musical performance by the world-renowned Georgia Sea Island Singers as well as an art exhibition featuring local African-American artists such as Gene Threats, Kenneth Carroll, Reginald Allen, and L.J. Williams.

A second celebration, featuring the same art exhibition, is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at St. Marys Convalescent Center, 805 Dilworth St., St. Marys. Musical performers will be the Heirs.
