Golden Isles Arthritis Walk Moved to Camden County

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Oct. 1, 2007 – Southeast Georgia Health System is the presenting sponsor of the second Annual Golden Isles Arthritis Walk. This year’s event is scheduled for 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Camden County PSA Track, 1050 Wildcat Drive, Kingsland.

It Hurts to be #1...is this year's Arthritis Foundation theme. No one wants to be #1 in such a debilitating disease, but everyone would enjoy being #1 in fund raising for our community. Fund-raising efforts make it possible for the Arthritis Foundation to continue to advance its mission: to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related conditions.

In Georgia, the Arthritis Foundation works diligently to reach more of the millions of people affected by arthritis in this state. Vital programs are offered and services in the form of educational opportunities, exercise, and self-help programs that can allow people with all forms of arthritis to take control of their lives.

The Southeast Georgia Health System team “Pain Buster's” is being lead by Shelli Hope-Darnall. If you are interested in being a part of this very vital cause, please contact her at (912) 466-7006 or sdarnal@sghs.org. You can also join the Health System team or form your own by visiting www.arthritis.org and click on the “join the team for a cure” link. You can also make a monetary donation to one of the local teams at the site.
