Free Weight Loss Surgery Seminar Scheduled in Claxton

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: March 18, 2009 – Wondering if weight loss surgery might be for you? Then you’re invited to attend the Southeast Georgia Health System Bariatric Care Center educational seminar “Fit Back Into Your Life: The Truth About Weight Loss Surgery.” This free presentation is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Curtis G. Hames Wellness Center, 11093 Hwy. 280, Claxton.

The Bariatric Care Center is recognized as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), which acknowledges the safety, efficiency, and overall positive surgical results at the Center. The Center also offers a comprehensive program to ensure patients’ well-being and success. Through structured education, empowerment and emotional support, the Center’s team of professionals truly care about helping their patients reach their healthy weight goals.

The designation also recognizes the importance of having a comprehensive, patient-focused program. The Bariatric Care Center has licensed psychologists who provide evaluations and counseling, as well as licensed registered dietitians to help patients understand their new dietary needs. Additionally, the Bariatric Care Center staff offers a pre-and or postoperative bariatric wellness program, a follow up program, as well as numerous support group meetings in the surrounding areas.
