Free Educational Forum on Long Term Care
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Jan. 14, 2008 – Southeast Georgia Health System is offering a free community educational forum on long-term care on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 6-7 p.m. in the St. Marys Convalescent Center Activities Room, 805 Dilworth St., St. Marys.
Doree Avera, staff attorney for the Georgia Legal Services Program, and Lynda Avila, business office manager at St. Mary's Convalescent Center, will share information on financial planning for long term health care, including information about the qualifications for Medicaid and how to apply. They will also provide information about the Miller Trust Fund and the Georgia Medicaid Estate Recovery, in addition to an over-view about different financial sources for long term care, including Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and private insurance.
