Free Diabetes Workshops: Achieve Your Target Zone
BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Oct. 18, 2007 – If you are seeking a better understanding of how the food you eat and the insulin you take affect your glucose levels, this free series of two classes is for you. This intensive insulin management program will assist you in learning how to match your insulin dose to your food intake which will help you manage your diabetes more effectively and with greater flexibility.
This first class will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 2-4 p.m. in the private dining room at the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus, 2415 Parkwood Drive, Brunswick. It will cover basal/bolus insulin, basic carbohydrate counting and proper treatment of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. The second class will be held in the same location on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 2-4 p.m. and will cover advanced carbohydrate counting. Participants are required to attend both workshops.
