This four-day (July 14-17) comprehensive sports medicine workshop is designed to introduce high school students to the field of sports medicine and athletic training. No previous experience is needed to attend this camp; however, this year we are excited to continue an advanced track for students with prior experience. Students participating in entry and advanced tracks will learn about the many different careers associated with sports medicine. This is a hands-on camp led by the Southeast Georgia Health System Sports Medicine team. Students will have a chance to learn and practice their newly acquired skills so that they can return to their high school feeling confident in assisting their Certified Athletic Trainer. The camp is open to students entering grades 9–12. Registration and payment MUST be received by July 1, 2014. Camp Cost is $100 and includes camp materials, lab supplies, lunch Monday through Wednesday, four days of snacks, CPR certification card and camp t-shirt.
